Magical mystery tour!!!

by musique2burn

This is such great music!! It takes you on a musical tour, one of fantasy, imagination and fascination. Listen close and you will find yourself pondering and soul searching, it to me... is more than just great musical talent, there is a deeper message. You must sit back and enjoy..take the ride and you to will flow to the sea...as we all will someday!

Great songwriting for diverse musical tastes...

While iTunes has this album listed as 'Pop', I think that's wrong. 'Eclectic Rock' might be a better description, though that doesn't *really* cover it either. You'll hear hints of Pink Floyd, Flaming Lips, and even some dulcimer-tinged folk (Bellyup) if you give a listen. Musicianship is excellent and the songs are interesting both melodically and harmonically.

However, the selling point of this album, IMHO, is the lyric content. Witty and irreverent yet very profound... Give a listen to "Predators" (the story of a strange internet relationship) and my personal favorite, "We're All Doomed!".

In "Doomed", the verses outline the strange, vagueries we place on the world through postmodern eyes... Then the chorus joyfully (yes, joyfully) shouts that if that's all there is - "We're all doomed / amino acids with cell phones / We are joy marooned / if God doesn't care to answer our prayers / then we're all doomed."

Great stuff... Also check out the cover of "What the Lord Has Done In Me" (from Hillsongs)...
