Masterful, Global Pop!
by Thaddeus MThis is a great record. I first came across Tee-M at a show in Los Angeles, and have since become a big fan of his music. In short, he's the George Harrison of Pakistan. He sings in English, with the occasional hint of his native Urdu, and skillfully blends '60s Beatles pop melodies with contemporary Southern California singer-songwriter riffs. The flavor of Pakistan weaves the entire record into what feels like a new genre of music, a "Global Pop," much in the spirit of the record's title. Give this record a shot and spend some time soaking in the charming sounds of East meeting West. Favorite songs include "Disappeared," "Hallucination," "Last Night," "Quiet Night By the Ocean" and "Aao, Aao, Aao," which was a top ten hit for the artist in Pakistan.
