Arcangel
by ti9569I have been trying to find the music of Arcangel for years now on i-tunes and hope that it can still be obtained at some point. It was truly an awesome sound Jeff Cannata brought to light and his work his incredible. I have the actual album, but unfortunately cannot play it wthout a turntable. I only hope those that have the ability to make it happen here will do all they can to try and have that masterpiece in the store soon.

by ffej90125Jeff Cannata was the driving force behind ArcAngel who had the self-titled album in the 80's with songs Tragedy, Sidelines and Stars. Stars is also included here, but it sounds like he re-recorded it. "Cannata" was Jeff Cannata's next creation after ArcAngel. He put out 2 or 3 albums under this name. I think to make "cannata" more familiar to people he included ArcAngel in the name of this album. Arcangel is out of print but you might be able to find it out on the net. I found my copy of it about 5 years ago. I also think Cannta has a web site where you buy those albums. Personally I don't think any of the Cannata stuff comes close to the ArcAngel stuff. I hope this helps.

by soulshaker77I'm confused. Some of these songs were featured on a record in the early 80's titled simply Arcangel. It's obviously the same band, but where did the "Cannata" come from? And where are the rest of the great songs from that record?
Dear iTunes, see if you can get a hold of Arcangel's self-titled record. I remember that it featured "Stars," which appears on this record, and many other fantastic songs: "Sidelines," "Confession," and "Used To Think I'd Never Fall In Love" were among the best, none of which are on this record.
Don't get me wrong. There are some good tracks here, but they just don't have the appeal that Arcangel's self-titled record had.
