Fresh, pure and extraordinary
by LeeLeeLeeEvery once in a while, not too often, I come across an artistic effort that seems to be coming from a higher plane, a place we'd all like to visit from time to time.
"You Speak To Me In My Dreams" has that character; it's not "LIKE" anything I've ever heard before... it's fresh, it's full of creative and cohesive ideas, I just feel good listening to it.
"Sacrifice" starts things with a jolt, like a spash of ice cold water to the face. Then it settles into a smooth groove and just starts driving along like a well-tuned luxury car.
My favorite track is "So Many Stars," the Sergio Mendez/Brazil 66 tune. The lead guitar is SO expressive, so full of life! Kudos to the rhythm guitar also, it's finely constructed tapestry complements the melody and defines the subtle "feel" of the song.
Get this album. Play it often, whether alone or with someone you care deeply about. Enjoy this journey to the higher plane.
