by liz b of nycThis album reveals the astounding range and clarity of ian thomas as both a stunning vocalist evoking something at once soulful and lullabye-esque, as well as a masterful guitar playin country boy. His lyrics are poetic, pastoral, deeply personal and beautifully straighforward. This recording is just as stellar as his live performances...all attentuated nicely with impressive plucking and very sensitively affected inflections.
Dylan Rides the Rails Again
by Iron HeelIan is an amazing guitarist, vocalist and harp player. His lyrics are timeless, placeless and brooding. He plays - in the classic style of New York steeped folk artists - for audiences large and tiny and manages to connect with everyone in the room.
I guess it's just nice to have someone bring the road to you no matter where you are.
It's a great companion of an album.
