Love and Discipline
by MessinaI was, overall, very impressed by this album. I expected it to be another dried-up collection of uninspiring, amateur works, but it is truly unique with fun, catchy songs like "Crush" and "Massapequa Sun". The instrumentals and sound mixing are great, and mesh together nicely. Although I think some of the vocals could be tightened up (such as the voice at the beginning of "Sailor's Prayer", which is a little flat-- the rest of the song sounds good), it is also very good on the whole, and great in songs like "Gravity" and "New York". The original, sincere lyrics found throughout the album are refreshing and interesting as they explore new thematic territory and expression. I would definitely buy another album by Roland Sattherwhite and Benedict Band, and would also pay to see them live.
