by sweetbunsI was very pleased with Seven Falls. It is one of those albums that has instant appeal and that also has listenability that improves after several spins. Tony Hall is a tremendous lyricist and composer. was impressed with how well the songs were put together from top to bottom. I recommend Seven Falls to all.
My favorite recording of 2005
by SlowpokeIn a time where all the music on the radio is starting to meld into a barren wasteland, Tony Hall's lyrics are a rich oasis in your head that you can always pull out when times get tough. It's a wonderful thing to have. His striking imagery in songs like "Lost Lovers," "Puerto Rico," and "Pearl" (to name just a few) is simply amazing. Tony has an honest way of communicating a message to his audience which holds a comforting truth that life is ever-changing and we must honor the choices we make.
