by evilneedles.comLots of people compare these guys to the Sonics. Never heard the Sonics? Okay, just think of the Cramps at a 60's psycho beach party with lots of gritty sand in their bathing suits doing drunk kareoke with the Stooges and you have an idea of what you're getting into. This is lo-fi, fuzz tone, howlin' heaven. Fans of raunchy garage punk will do a backflip with each of the 13 tracks on this release. Put on Sidewinder Crawl, lay back, close your eyes and you'll see beach bunnies in go-go boots dancing next to Barris inspired hot rods. Straight Home and I Can Beat Your Drum are the pinnacle of "dig that crazy beat, man" hipster-beatnikness. I'm partial to the more rockabilly influenced Let's Dance with it's big smoky burnout guitar solos and blood pumping tempo. Bottom line, if you're into well produced, crisp, fine tuned music this aint for you. If you want it raw, hard, fast and loud check 'em out
