Beyond Words
by meshmdzAs you all know from my review of SWIM, I am the biggest JFK fan on Earth, ask Joe himself. I have logged more miles on my car driving from Tennessee to Ohio in 2 years than anyone short of a truck driver drives in a year. (97,900 miles in one year, 4 months on my brand new Civic that had 3 miles on it when they took it off the truck)
THAT being said, I am biased towards this band.
This record is amazing. Not as good as SWIM because no other record on earth can touch that CD, but its better than any other record I have, SWIM aside. This record is special to me because on Dec 26, 2005, Kim and I drove to Ohio the day after Xmas for the release party at CC's in Joe's hometown, Middletown, Ohio. It snowed the entire way and the interstates were closed to one lane! I will NEVER forget this. We went and had an amazing time. This record was the last of JFK and after this, the band broke up and decided to go under the name Joe Hedges, and changed their music drastically. From the opener, "Invincible," to the most beautiful song ever, "Just Right," the 7 song EP is flawless. One of my all time favorite JFK songs is #4 on this record, "One By One." That is the song they opened with, other than "Believe" off SWIM. Fantastic cd. BUY THIS NOW!!! And if you dont have SWIM, buy it too. These are 2 records that I will die with. They are a part of who I am.
