Album Review

Houston-based, New Jersey-spawned singer/songwriter Lanky follows up his debut Inner Onwriter and a subsequent EP Last Chance for a First Impression with another round of folk-pop that falls somewhere between John Mayer and Dashboard Confessional. Born Frank Stabile, the man behind Odd Hour Work Week gets off to a good start with the harmonica-touched shimmer of "Falling for the Girl." Long on layered vocals, Lanky's approach makes keepers out of "Good Thing" — replete with a full band arrangement — and the hook-filled nugget "You Don't Know What It's About." An indie artist with polish and skill, Stabile doesn't always hit the mark, as the back half of the disc starts to feel innocuous, but Lanky is long on ability nonetheless and worth a listen. ~ John D. GREAT STUFF

by Nick Orros

I went to high school with Frank, or Lanky... He was a great soul and I can't believe this is him. Your tastes have changed Frank, this is great stuff.
I hope you make it to Tallahassee FLorida, there are some great venues to play, great town. OH... and check your email off of your website and give me a ring or email.

Folks -- Buy this album, it's got a new feel that you haven't heard before. Trust me.
