Deserves a Much Wider Audience
by BrooklynCherylThis exquisite mini album deserves a much wider audience. My favorite tune from The Book of Tia is "Fiona's Cousin," a passionate meditation on loss and discovery. Tia Imani Hanna is both an accomplished and inventive violinist and an astonishingly original vocal presence. The genre of her music is rooted in jazz, but she reaches out to many other genres, including world music. I look forward eagerly to new works by this artist.
