Quite possibly the best record you need own, now. California's best kept secret.

This full length album is excellent work! I never get tired of listening to Delta Breeze! Have seen these guys live, and if you think the record is good, they are even better live. The album kicks off with an in-your-face groove of Delta Breeze which illustrates right off the bat what these boys are capable of doing. Firecracker is a 'classic' Buffalo Creek song. Tonight's The NIght really shows how mature this band can be with subtle organ foundation. Cry is always an excellent up-beat tune live and they did an excellent job of capturing the energy. El Cajon is a straight ahead rocker rolling-stones-esque. Angelina- Another classic Buffalo Creek tune with ripping organ and guitar solo. Do What You're Told highlights the genious behind Buffalo Creek's drummer who is aparently also a songwriter & guitarist. Alameda simmers down with the other guitarist doing lead vocals. Guest List will smack you in the face old-school-country style while Shopping Cart gets you feeling good. The West Memphis Three has ripping guitar / organ / piano solos at the end, very Lynard-esque and the Price You Have To Pay is absolutley the best song to round the album out. The prolific songwriting of Bryn Loosley combined with the stellar organic instrumentation of Marc Stafford, Ryan O'Donovan, Nick Bearden and August Germar present not just a collection of songs, but a unity of California Country Soul in this album. No shortage of excellent hooks, guitar tones, organ licks, grooves, harmonies and class on this album. There is a reason why folks all throughout the west coast love Buffalo Creek. Their follow-up album, Paint By Numbers is also a must-have in the collection. Short, sweet, and to the point. No fluff or filler with these guys...
