There's Hope For Great Popular Music...
by TuffKritikJill Stevenson is a vivacious Colorado local, who writes and performs her own material to an audience that’s as diverse culturally as it is chronologically. For the last 2 years Jill’s been living in NYC where she’s expanded both her fan base and industry contacts…playing at many of the city’s important music spots like The Bitter End, Living Room, Red Lion and the new Rockwood Music Hall.
Her big voice and unique playing style (guitar and piano) is best described as “multi-genre”…a smooth blend of rock and folk, layered with a strong and natural R&B patina. First time attendees to a JS show come away knowing they've seen and heard something very important.

by BlackStratJackI discovered Jill's work on myspace in an acoustic guitar forum. I was blow away by the three songs featured on her profile and immediately bought the CD. She has a great acoustic guitar style, but balances chops with great songwriting and an amazing voice; nothing saccharine sweet about it, she can range from folkie to nearly Motown. If it is possible to wear out a CD, then I will eventually wear this one out. I've had it for nearly six months, and still play it front to back at least twice a week.

by dreamaway_babeI saw Jill play at The Red Lion in New York, and I've been hooked ever since! I go see her play all the time now, I hardly miss a show! This is my favorite album from her. I love "Ghosts," "Gold," "Whatever It Is," and "Times Like These." Jill is extremely talented; she can write great songs and her voice is just amazing. Jill Stevenson is a treasure!
