Mmmm....Delicious
by djgigglesI must say, since I listened to my first Jim Croce album, i haven't tasted a sweeter melody than thorntree's self-titled debut. The harmonies: my oh my. The licks, give me some mo' mandolin. And that bassist...boy howdy. All I want to know is what's for dessert?
Flat out AWESOME
by littleredhairedgirlAt the recommendation of a friend who bought their CD, I looked up Thorntree on I Tunes, and downloaded this album after listening to samples. I have been absolutely delighted with it. I do not like country music--but this is not so much country as it is a mix of Bluegrass and Jazz, with some classical mixed it. I have not stopped listening to it. If there is one complaint, it is that there aren't enough songs on it! Looking forward to more.
GREAT Album
by StephenCarterPhotographydotcomDon't be decieved. Just because these guys don't have a mainstream label, they're top notch. The sound is awesome, and everyone in the group authencally and passionately enjoys their music. I know each member of the group personally, and I think the band is just top notch. It's a shame the violinist has to live in Austria these days...
Must buy if you like the Nickel Creek Sound
