Great Songs, Great Guitar playing, Great singing! It's all there for the blues guitar lover.
by DBW Studio.comChris Juergensen is one of my all time favorite guitar players. And that says something since I myself am a full time guitarist in Los Angeles. But, the real surprise was when I heard him sing and play the guitar. This CD shines with both great vocal and guitar chops. From the gutsy sound of Big Bad Sun to the more sensitive blues style of Sweet Melissa the playing on this reminds me of something between Stevie Ray to Eddie Van Halen to Jeff Beck. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!
Great blues in the tradition of Stevie Ray Vaughan

This is blues in the tradtion of Stevie Ray Vaughan -- great guitar playing and vocals built around classic vocal and instrumental lines. "Sweet Melissa" is a song in the mold of "Texas Flood" -- familiar enough to feel like an old friend yet with enough surprises to feel utterly new. If you like the blues, you'll love "Big Bad Sun."
