by Philly BoiI heard him live over at the black and white ball for the spagetti junction film festival (5th anniversary), and he sounded just like he does on the cd, smashing. Mad props for ya man. Work on another album and see you at the next event.

by Mich1Randevyn’s intimate debut album, Soltrain, is a well-blended concoction of rhythm and blues, soul, and gospel, in which Randevyn trusts and confides in his listeners to the struggles of being, well, human.
On some tracks his sound is reminiscent of Stevie Wonder notably on the track "LaughNKry" (featured on Randevyn’s Myspace page). Other tracks carry the tune of all-star R&B artists Seal and Babyface, heard throughout "We Had a Talk." Randevyn’s powerfully enunciated voice, is comparable to John Legend, especially on "Soltrain."
Also in the mix, Cascius, featured on "Streetsol: Soundtrack Of The Ghetto" and "Dear Farah," creates some hip-hop texture. Cheron Scales shares his brief but invigorating spoken word on "What is Luv?" opening up to the acoustic "Tru Luv," with amazing pianist Cori Lamont.
The fact that he has the range to embody so many different genres of music, makes him out-shine other new artists. The added splash of funk to his loud ‘n proud voice, makes him go down as smooth as a Strawberry Daiquiri on a hot summer day.
Soltrain flows beautifully from beginning to end, proving Randevyn to be "a soul-singing man."

by LatorriaHey Randy its Donna...i guess its not really fare for me to rate ya cause i grew up with that beautiful voice in the church and i love it! You are and always have been a killer....and a talented musician..! My fav on here are missin you, and Laughnkry...but all of them are daTruth...no doubt i give u hand down a advised yellow slip to Hollywood..u shall be the next top american idol! LOL.....this is a cd that is not under a genres...i just straight from the heart..soul musik....
