Album Review
Firmly rooted in the tradition of folk, country blues, and punk, Situation Out of Control is a caustic and twangy mixed bag of pared down rock & roll. John Tibbles plays an incredibly rhythmic bass that is complimented by the steady hand of his father, Doug Tribbles, on drums. The title track is thick and meaty, filled with just a tinge of hard rock — courtesy of Barbara Keith's driving electric guitar — while "Highland Boy" and "My Horse Has Wings" turn it down a notch to capture pure choral balladry. Barbara Keith has had her songs covered by the likes of Tanya Tucker and Barbra Streisand, and as one-third of the Stone Coyotes her command of melody, harmony, and rock sensibility has the potential to lift this trio beyond musical obscurity.

Situation Out Of Control
by |2aNdA||My purchase of this album by the Stone Coyotes represents my completed purchase of their entire catalog. This band is very tight, with the best rhythm section I've heard since the Rolling Stones. Searing guitar work, great bass and drum work, and absolutely haunting vocals. I cannot wait for their newest album to show up at iTunes!!!!
