A Breath of Fresh Air in the smog of the city....
by Duncan Rogers, President of Freshwater Films, LLCI had the pleasure of doing a show with Addie, and she wrote some music for the production and I was immediately a fan. Before We Were Christians validates, for me, my intuition. There is grace and gravity in these songs and while simple, they are deceptively searing. She often reminds me of Jen Trynin (Gun Shy Trigger Happy days). I am delighted to stick this CD into my player and find the imagery transporting. A great disc, from a great artist, I am certain there is more to come.
Back When We Were Christians
by Colonel MustardI feel as if I have known this performer for a very long time. Her music is so personal and powerful. It resonates deep into one's own being and pulls reluctant memories toward the surface. Her vocals can be sweet, yet they can cut quickly when the time is right. She is capable of admirable vocal gymnastics. However, they do not distract. It is obvious to me that this person is an accomplished musician and "word" person who deserves to be heard.
