Another Great EP
by KDaddy2000Mike Holden delivers on another solid set of songs in this EP. His songwriting and style are unique in a genre that has a lot of competition. Add this one to your collection and you will not be disappointed.
Classic Mike Holden with a twist
by litljMike's latest EP continues his tradition of being a quality singer/songwriter. As other reviewers have noted "Help Me Sleep" is one of the best Mike Holden songs to date and well worth the download. For me "Drop the Other Shoe" and "Moving Still" while not as catchy as "Help Me Sleep" are still solid songs in their own right. The most important song on this EP for me is "Take No Victims" because, as another reviewer wrote, it is a departure from the traditional Mike Holden song, and therefore may put some people off because of it's more rock edge. While this may be true,it is more important to note that it shows that he has the courage and talent to move outside of the box that many listeners would put him in and that he is will to risk trying a new genre of music. This to me shows an artist that is willing to experiment and grow which can only mean that more we can expect more great Mike Holden songs in the future.
Great singer-songwriter
by Liam665Help Me Sleep is a fantastic song, really capturing longing and emotional turmoil with a melody that you will find yourself humming after just a couple of listens; Moving Still is also highly worth downloading. The two "harder" songs don't do as much for me, but Take No Victims is a solid rocker that I always enjoy when it comes up on my shuffle.
