Awesome singer
by RockonlittledevilI love this version of "Black." I would love to hear this artist sing more rock music. Her other album is really interesting, but I prefer hearing her voice in this type of setting, classic from the gut. The song Baby shows off her voice in a different way, and would maybe fit better on her main album, (which is more like a Kate Bush album than a classic rock album). Both songs are great, espeically if you're totally over the waify baby voiced folsky pop singers of today.
Great cover of a classic!
by JamFan75This is a beauitful rendition of my favorite Pearl Jam song. Their hit from the early 90's is underplayed at best, and hopefully this new cover will familiarize more people with this classic, heart wrenching rock ballad. Jennifer's vocals are passionate and serve the song well, and although she doesn't stray far from Eddie Vedder's interpretation of the song, it more than satisfies. The main twist is simply the female voice, and strings amongst the guitars add to the original classic rock style. The b-side, "Baby," is a lilting and sweet tune reminiscent of a Carol King song... might or might not be good fit for some Pearl Jam fans!
Very Good
by DivinchiNow, it is not easy to cover such a powerful song like this! However, Ms. Nash has done a wonderful job creating the pain of this song. The only problem that I have is that she should have changed the lyrics to he from she from the song… Whichever way, Bravo to you Ms. Hash for taking on such a powerful song. Trust me, this is the song that I live by, and you have done an amazing job…. I am now a fan and will look forward to seeing you in concert….
