Amazing an touching

I remember the days of seeing Mike and his band back in Kansas, Klyde Konner. They made some of the most amazing and poingant music, and now to hear this beautiful and touching set of songs from Mike Coykendall as a solo artist brings back many memories of times past. Simply put, this is one of the finest collections of acoustic songs I have ever heard. Thank you Mike Coykendall.

Pure Musical Genius!

Mike Coykendall, has self-produced a dark hearted album that melds mildly psychadelic sounds with folk and the spirit of 73 in a profound confessional album that demands attention. Superb craftsmanship shows itself in the lyrics, melodies, textures and playing on every track.

Not to mention that Mike plays almost every instrument on every song and has produced it in his studio using a reel to reel 1" analog tape machine in this day and age of cut and paste ProTools produced works. There is an added dimension of quality and warmth that is hard to come by these days.

This is an album that demands being listened to from start to end. If I could rate this with ten stars I would give it twenty. It really is that good. It's the real deal.
