Sings from the heart...powerful, strong voice...
by robinpix...and lyrics! Favorites are "I will you" and "Blind Trinity". She is amazing live and performs in all sorts of small venues in the LES of NYC as well as up and down the east coast. Those little venues are going to get bigger soon because this girl's on her way up to the big time. You go girl! Enjoy the journey.

Sexy, relevant, moving
by downtownjournoLaura Thomas, known as Bama to her friends and fans, is one of those unsigned NYC talents when you see at a small LES club you know you are catching lightning in a bottle. As her loyal and growing fan base will tell you, it's only a matter of time before she blows up. Combining sex appeal w/ downhome charm and vocal chops which would render Simon Cowell's speechless, Bama is the real deal - a singer songwriter in tradition of Rosanne Cash and Alannis Morrisette with a hint of Janis Joplin (w/o the drinking problem). What drives much of her work is strong sense of chick empowerment (not in a cliched way) and anger at the Iraq war and the current political situation in general. Her boyfriend, Paul Rieckhoff, is an Iraq war combat veteran and the outspoken leader of a veterans organization. One of her most powerful songs deals with waiting for his return. They are the real American Idols.
