Solid space funk rock
by K the humanThere's the feeling that Jesse Lee Jacobs and Dorian Heartsong listened to all the right albums growing up, because this album is 9 songs of some very eclectic, classic "Rock and Soul" goodness. The band doesn't overdue things by keeping acoustic guitar and some great percussion at the foreground and then turning on the funk at just the right times. Like on the track, Empathy, which has a nice groovy soul-type vibe until the chorus goes all funky with a horn section and bass that would make Bootsy proud. All in all a good time straight through. This is a band that makes the whole album an experience. Something rare in this day and age.
