If you love smart, catchy duos, you need this CD!
by SenseOfWonderThis is a wonderful collection of songs from two distinct songwriters who work amazingly well together. Harmonies are tight and spot-on. Lori's voice is sweet and strong, a la Anne Wilson from Heart; Cletus' tenor is clear and precise, like James Taylor with an edgy touch of Michael Stipe. Songs are deep and powerful -- Lori's more homey and Cletus' more worldly -- both very original. Check out my current fav's, Undertow (a song of strength to stand against life's constant pull) and Eowyn's Song (a non-geeky, humanizing ode to a complex character from Lord of the Rings).

Their creative and unique blend of style, lyrics, and verse with beautiful musical stylizations, and the resonance and blend of Kennelly's acoustic 12-string and Lori Kelly's 6 string electric acoustic guitar are perfect. If you like music with meaningful, poetic and powerful lyrics and a beautiful and wonderful musical underscore and style....Cletus and Lori's "Lotus" is just the ticket. Favorite cuts were "Undertow", "Angel Network", "More than Enough", "Eowyn's Song", "Snow is Falling", and "Looking Up".....all fantastic cuts.
