by MagicManicMoniiGirl without fear is like blowing psychadelic colored bubble gum while swimming in a lake filled with grape flavored liquid jolly ranchers, talking to a couple of cotten candy penguins, in LA. Pure ear candy.
As to who they sound like, it's kind of like Blondie mixed with Bjork, set oven to an early Madonna era, bake to a Sugur Hill Gang brown and sprinkle lightly with Death Cab For Cutie. Yum.
Their Debut album Mix Messeges is filled with songs about Drug related love ballads, Angels, turning life around, and love in general.
overall, i give this album 5 stars. The intoxicating melodies are awesome, and the way the lyrics are amazing. Overall, a great find.

by faith in the fogThis album is so refreshing! Leave your expectations at the door. Every single song has its own personality. The lyrics are deep on the verses, infectious on the choruses. Girl Without Fear like to mix styles and play around with cool keyboard sounds, maybe why the album is titled "Mix Messages". The vocals are reminiscent of several singers like Bjork, Chrissy Hynde, Siouxie Sioux, & Cindi Lauper. Definitely 80' New Wave influenced with a modern cutting edge production. There's also elements of rap, emo, electro, electronica, and modern rock. Records like this make iTunes the place to be when you want to find groundbreaking new music.
