Great Artist, Great Guitar Work
by JagaGatorI discovered Vic Saul by chance in 2004 when he was playing a little beachside bar in Jacksonville Beach. I later went to see him play in St. Augustine and bought 2 of his CDs, including this one. I am so pleased to see his work on iTunes now. He sounded every bit as good in person as he does on this album. This is purely acoustic guitar work, with his hand providing percussive accompaniment. If you're into smoking instrumental guitar playing, I recommend Wot the Funk or The Lost Key. Wave of Emotion and Slip Through My Fingers are fun songs. Why Only Now and Nothing Else Matters (my favorite) really slow it down. Grab a beer, picture yourself by the beach in Florida, and enjoy this album!
