The Heart of a Blue Whale Is the Size of a Small Car

Dreamy escape. Great album.

     

I'm surprised there isnt a review for this album yet. It's a beautiful, sweet 2nd album to follow up H+T's first album together. It continues its technical electronic exploration of poetry lulled by the ocean waves. The result is a rich range of sounds and tunes, showing how far the duo has grown musically. I love how H+T have a sound lets me get lost in the music. It begins with the dreamscape of Cycle. Mystery lurks in the waters of dolphins nearby in "5 Days...". This mix of "Cotton Candy" is fresh and makes me think of sitting in a Jeep and watching the stars above. "Vista", "Smiling...", and "Shark Hunt" finish out the album with Tarsier's alto melodies and Healamonster's beats. Overall, a sweet collection of tunes, suddenly its on constant rotation on my list. Definitely check out Tarsier's ongoing work with Alias. You'll want to grab that album too. This is a great group that's on the rise -- get to know them now. You'll be glad you did.
