Way to go Mischa.
by ~~~~~~~I knew Mischa from myspace, that;s how I know about her album. I actually got to talk to her quite a bit. She's very nice and is very devoted to her music. I think her album came out better than great. I would reccomend buying it. My favorite song is "Go Fish". Great job Mischa!!! I can't wait until she comes out with more songs!
Catchy and Thoughtful
by damareThe first thing that I thought when listening to this, Mischa's first recording, was, "How old is this girl?" Her music is alt pop, but I found her tunes to be more engaging and her voice WAY more soulful than most of the female pop out there. A few listens into it I was also struck by her strong songcraft and by how good her lyrics are. They are interesting with consistently striking imagery. She writes and plays her own stuff too, which also gives her extra marks.
"Herself" in particular is an amazing little piece that describes the world view of a girl who we have all known at some point. The music beautifully matches the lyrics as well, with a stong intrumental section that had me listening to it several times before moving on. "Go Fish" is both radio friendly and quite cool. Again, I found the lyrics to be really thoughtful and have caught myself singing the chorus on more than a few occasions.
I could go on, but you get the idea. Frankly, I am not a pop person in general, but this girl is awesome. I can't wait for a full album from her. I imagine that there is a lot more she has to say, and I, for one, am listening. Mischa Stimac deserves to be famous.
