Down With Love...Up With This Soundtrack!

The movie is an incredible movie - taking its cues from the old Rock Hudson & Doris Day comedies, and the editing is fantastic and the costumes are wonderful. Not to mention the light and bubbly perfomances of Renee, David, Ewan, Sarah, and Tony Randall (who was in all of the Rock & Doris movies). The soundtrack is a MUST if you fell in love with the movie (as I did, of course). Marc Shaiman is a great composer, and Michael Buble - one of the sexiest voices of today - graces the soundtrack with his lovely voice as well. I'll level with you, even if you haven't seen this movie, the soundtrack itself is perfect for those days when you feel light and cheery. Sinatra is always amazing, and even though Esthero's song may feel out of place in context of the soundrack, it's still a great song. Now stop reading this and buy the cd already!

Loved it!!!!!! but im tired of buying a whole movie soundtrack for 2 songs

I am so glad that i purchased this album a couple of months ago, because when i came back to this fantastic movie soundtrack, only to find that the two Michael Buble songs are the only songs in the soundtrack that are available to purchase. This entire album is so much fun, I especially love the Frank Sinatra "Fly Me to the Moon" and the cover which are played when Barbara and Zip are getting ready for their date (my favorite part!). Also nice are "One Mint Julep" and the two star's, Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor, duet "Here's to Love". If you love this movie, i would recommend buying the cd now that itunes does not offer the entire album. But if you just want Michael Buble, then get "For Once in My Life" which fits nicely along with his other repetoire.
