iTunes Review
As far back as the ‘60s, Barbra Streisand began matching voices with the great singers of the era. The decades have seen her trading verses with artists from just about every idiom of modern popular music, and the most familiar cuts here testify to Streisand’s ability to find emotional common ground with stylists as different as Frank Sinatra (“I’ve Got a Crush On You”), Barry Gibb (“Guilty,”), Donna Summer (“No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)”), Kris Kristofferson (“Lost Inside of You”) and Neil Diamond (“You Don’t Bring Me Flowers).” Lesser-known tracks feature intriguing numbers with everyone from Ray Charles (“Cryin’ Time”) to legendary composer Harold Arlen (“Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead”). For those who mostly know Barbra’s later work, there are revelatory moments to be heard here, such as her heart-tugging duet with Judy Garland on “Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again.” New studio team-ups with Barry Manilow (“I Won’t Be the One to Let Go”) and Josh Groban (“All I Know of Love”) demonstrate that Streisand hasn’t lost her sensitivity or panache as a singing partner.

What's all the fuss!?!?!?!?!?!
by iBrittBarbra Streisand makes me wanna puke...Why the hell do people pay so much to see this self indulged witch perform....she doesn't sing all that well and she certainly lacks any other talent. She believes she is great and so do her pathetic followers who think the crap she puts out is actually something good. She makes me sick. I wish she would fall off the planet and get hit by a comet.

by pinkmentoHer voice is wonderful! I remember hearing "All I ask of you" and falling in love with that song! Another good song of hers is "I Finally Found Someone".
Awesome Duets Compilation
by a song 4uThis cd featured a collection of different covers for a "limited time" and I believe I have the one featured here on iTunes. The songs herein are the duets Barbra recorded through the years with various guests, some of these songs were major hits and should have been featured on "The Essential Barbra" but their inclusion here makes this cd a "completer set" of sorts. Track one brings together two powerhouse vocalists, Barbra and Barry Manilow. The duet had all the makings of a major hit but sadly the song fizzled. Track ten is with Johnny Mathis which can be had on her "Back To Broadway" set and "One Less Bell To Answer" is from her "Barbra Joan Streisand" set and it's Barbra duetting with herself. The last song "All I Know Of Love" is with Josh Groban and it should have been a bit more popular than it was. "I've Got A Crush On You" is the duet with Frank Sinatra recorded for his celebrated "Duets" sessions and "Ding-Dong The Witch Is Dead" is sung with Harold Arlen whose own voice is best described as "eclectic." I could go into more detail on who is who but listening will make the partner obvoius. The overall mastering of this disc I take a small issue with, it seems a bit "muffled" to me and could have been a lot cleaner. Outside of this minor detail this is a well thought out collection.
