I wasn't too impressed.
by GlobesessionsThe origional song is great so is the cover but the rest just leave you wanting to hear the real song. I do think this is a good variety here though, alot has been done with and inspired by this song.
Awesome Idea
by A little night musicAwesome Idea, but it would've been a much better collection if the Temposhark song, Tom Plays With His Dinner, were included. When I first saw that title and understood the reference and sample I literally laughed out loud.
One Of The Best "One-Off" Collections EVER!
by SGJR1960To BobTheCopywriter: No, you're not the only one who loves to put together collections of multiple versions of one song! I picked this up on cassette at Kemp Mill Records about a thousand years ago (remember discount bins?) and I wore that sucker out! Many props have to go to Suzanne Vega and her wicked sense of humor, for enabling and allowing so many different artists to render their takes on one of folk/rock/pop's most unique oddities. And for those who can remember it, I defy anyone to find the other great compilation of the '80's: an album that collected thirteen unique versions of the Holland/Dozier/Holland classic "You Keep Me Hangin' On"...including an OPERATIC version, complete with the London Symphony Orchestra!
