No digital booklet?

by bluecalx2

Great collection, featuring some really interesting and important pieces. But why no digital booklets? I'd recommend buying the physical CD's for these collections instead. They each come with detailed histories about the composers and the pieces featured. Music like this is often not as easily accessible the first few times you hear it, but once you get it, it's very rewarding. Knowing something about the music helps it come alive. Without the linear notes, you're only getting half the collection.

On amazon.com, an artist from this album voiced concern that her piece was used without her consent. She is receiving no royalties for the sale of this album, and suspects the same may be true for other artists. We may not want to support Sub Rosa Records by purchasing this. However, since many of the tracks here are previously unreleased, this may be the only chance to gain access to some of these unusual and important pieces. I hope this helps you make an informed decision.

great stuff!

I really enjoyed this anthology. It's a great way to get a good crosssection of several eras of music. There's some stuff on here i had heard from my audio history classes as well as some stuff i had never heard. overall i think this is a cool collection. cranking this up is really fun.
