Amazing
by Hilary is #1!I first heard Chris' song "Indescribable" in my bible class. For about 1 year I've been trying to find the song, yet i couldn't because I didn't know who the artist was. I finally heard 1 of his songs and looked him up and I saw the title. I love Chris' songs and I praise him for writing so many wonderful praises about God. I give his album 5 stars!!
its ok, but
by closetsickdrummrChris Tomlin is a great guy, his lyrics are great, and his band plays great live, but it seems like they creatively limit themselves and write songs that are easy to cover in churches. Which that's a great thing and i'm all for that, i gues that's his niche in the music industry. I just wish they would try to write a song that isnt easy to play. I mean, his drummer plays one of four grooves for EVERY one of his songs on the chorus. They are all VERY similar musically. From a musician's standpoint, his songs arent very creative. He led at a four day conference that I went to, and he allows people to idolize him and doesn't say anything about it to stop it. That just upset me. But anyway, this is his best album in my humble opinion. Hopefully they make an album that breaks the worship song mold that he created.
