Possessed by dazzling lyrical flows and production, this British/Sri Lankan MC is a unique performer and unlikely but welcome byproduct of globalization. Influenced by dancehall, hip-hop, garage and bhangra, M.I.A. is a child of the world, hop-scotching across multiple genres, but always informed by sharp political and cultural consciousness. Along with the amazing crossover smash "Galang," M.I.A. asserts herself most potently on sure shots "Bucky Done Gun," "Fire Fire," "Pull Up the People," and "Sunshowers."

I know that I've listened to the whole album at least two times in a row before and yes the songs can be annoying but they're just so darn fun to dance to!
I think this is a highly original and all around great album! I am looking forward to all of M.I.A.'s future work. :)
