Great Introduction to Hempton
by DolnimGaladI have yet to find anyone that compares to Gordon Hempton in this genre. I bought a recording by Mr. Hempton many years ago and have not seen any other Hempton recordings for sale in retail stores. After purchasing many other "nature" recordings and for the most part being sorely disappointed, I am glad to see ITunes offering Hempton recordings. His recordings are pure, unadulterated sound. As an avid hiker and birder there is nothing I hate more than a "nature" recording that has been obviously "mixed". Loons in a desert, hawk calls at night with a full chorus of crickets and frogs... ugh. This selection is a good introduction to what Mr. Hempton does best. There is nothing like the Songs of Spring to take the chill off of mid-Winter in New England.
