Totally worth it.

Not just a bunch of sub-par fancy-shmancy runs up and down the guitar neck. This is meticulous precision created by talented musicians.

If you like this make sure you also find Exit the Kind's split with Man Is Mostly Water. It's on iTunes as well. And then once you fall in love with Man Is Mostly Water, go buy their 3-song EP on iTunes too.

Excellent workout music

Exit the King are seriously my ultimate soundtrack for the gym. The music is intensely unpredictable and well constructed. One of my favorite bands in Austin that I could see going really far. Squats, bench press, pilates- there's a song on here for every possible fitness adventure. Except snowboarding, this EP stinks for snowboarding.

what's mathcore? i dunno. people throw around sub-genres of hardcore like there's a million different lame arse techno beats. critics like to compare the comparison. how this shite sounds like some shite that some other dudes did that sorta sounds like what these dudes do. it's all hardcore to me.

exit the king hails from austin, texas. bandmates include veterans of various other hardcore austin bands that no one really cared about in the first place. but this time this three piece gets everything right.

The self titled *way* too short e.p. is fast and furious with an axe to grind. music like this will accompany your fatal motorcycle accident. exit the king forges new territory in hardcore mayhem. they're building their own blocks of stone and not just mimicking what they see on mtv. this kind of music reminds you anarchists still mumble amongst themselves that, “one day the revolution will come.”
play this gem of metal escapade on your iPod nano during rush hour traffic and just feel the anger wash away.
