Customer Reviews
TOS: Kitester was right...
Kitester had a reason to post the review and warn us. When I checked, the TOS did really say those awful, scary things. I did not sign up for the same reasons. I wrote an email to Zenbe's info address because it didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the paragraph. I got a quick reply that it was just boilerplate and they were going to fix it within a day. Next time I checked the TOS it was indeed fixed.
My guess is that in the rush to get this out by the deadline, some things just weren't as important as others. Now that things are starting to calm down, all those little details are getting filled in. It's similar to all the other apps that didn't have enough beta testing (startup crashes, just plain not working, etc). At least this one worked (mostly, my wife loses lists I share with her, but I think I'm not on the latest version even though App Store says there are no updates. It's not the only time iTunes and the App Store on the iPhone disagree on an app's existence for me).
Please try to give other reviewers the benefit of the doubt. Kitester had no reason to mess with you. Just because something is not true now doesn't mean it wasn't true at another time. Unfortunately, that review is really highly ranked because at the time it was a show-stopper for a lot of people. It will take some time before it drops lower than the highest position.
Awesome App for Sharing To Do Lists
This is an amazing application for sharing To Do lists. I had a chance to see a preview of it when it was in beta, and couldn't wait to start using it. Now I'm using it, and they've made it even better.
The key is the sharing. Most To Do lists are single-user. Great for tracking stuff you need to do - but what do you do when you're working with someone else? I share a lot of To Do's with my wife ("Did you stop at the store to pick up milk? Do I need to?"), with my business partner ("We need to call the client. Have you had a chance?"), and others.
With Zenbe it's really easy. You just create your To Do lists, then tell it to share them with the appropriate people. The invitation goes out as an email. They can then view the list online, or on their iPhone. Then anyone can edit it, add tasks, or check off items as they do them. (You do have to set up a free account, since it syncs everyone to the server - but that's no big deal.)
Super easy to use. It's the simple apps like this that really make life easier.
Simple at it's best!
Such a simple little app which works great and it's free. How can anyone beat that?
You can create/edit/delete your lists on the iPhone or their web site...
Create the long lists on the web site and use your iPhone to manage them.
Perfect for Grocery lists...
