Awesome!!!
Does just about everything my TI-84 Plus but quicker and much easier to manipulate the graphs. It loads instantly and the 3D function is awesome for higher level math classes (I'm in Calc 3 now and it's already come in hand!)
Nice graphics, usability problems fixed!
My initial review pointed out difficulty editing equations without the standard iPhone keyboard, and the challenge of animating without more control over the variable T. These complaints were addressed with amazing speed, by the recent update, and I can say that the equation editing works smoothly, with a nice compromise between their custom keypad for quick entry, and the iPhone keyboard for more elaborate editing. The options for controlling the range and end behavior of the animation are complete but easy. I'm glad I bought this app even with several other graphing calculators already on my iPhone.
Quirky, somewhat limited, but very good indeed.
There is no other calculator app (that I've been able to find) that comes even close to this app's rich, smooth, and astonishingly powerful 2- and 3-D graphing capacity. To my surprise, I have also ended up using it routinely for simpler purposes (calculation of sums, products, powers, trig ratios, and so on) because it displays results instantly (no need to hit an = key) and has a cleverly designed bank of registers for storage and retrieval of intermediate results. I would like to see an expansion of its library of functions: factorials, combinations, and permutations, for example, would make the app even more useful. I would also like to have more control over the 2-D graphing interface: the ability to trace, to center the axes, adjust the aspect ratio, and so on. So: a beautifully written app that could, with some expansion and refinement, displace all other calculators for my fairly modest purposes as a tutor of high school math.
